On the 11th of November every year Remembrance Day is held mainly in Commonweath countries since the end of the First World War in order to remember all those who fought and died in the line of duty to keep us free. Over time this reconition has extended to people that fought and even non-military service that aided the war effort. With this in mind, the topic for discussionour #ANZAncestryTime genealogy Twitter chat on Tuesday 10 November was military ancestors.
#ANZAncestryTime team support was provided by Pauleen @cassmob, Maggie @iwikiwichick & Jennifer @Jennifer_Jones0.
The Ancestry in Time Official blogger, Sue Wyatt @tasteach, summarised many of the tweets, sources, suggestions and more with her blog post, “Ancestors in the military“.
